Peloton Official
'Joy Division meets Postcard Pop' - VP review Apr 08
Lowlife, originally a distant pipedream from circa 88' finally got off the ground last year with Rich & Paul taking guitars, vocals, drum loop equipment etc out of their own comfort zone and into rehearsals with the intention of realising the long overdue ambition of playing to the like minded "live".
Chris was immediately drafted in to play keys, and the nucleus of the group was set. Line up changes with Drums and Bass duties during early-mid 07 have delayed, but not halted Lowlife's desire to get out into the "scene".
Late Summer 07' starts another chapter in the bands infancy with the "new & improved" line up presenting Beamo on Drums & Percussion and Roger taking the mantle on Bass Guitar.
As a farewell to the stop & start nature of band progression Lowlife has evolved and gathered momentum with newly christened name tag of Peloton.
Influences range from British post punk to present day indie-alternative.
2008 will see the band take a number of covers out over Shropshire including songs from the likes of Editors, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead and The Stone Roses to name but a few. Sitting alongside the above new and original material will also be showcased along the way.....
